Sage Intacct

Your financial platform governed, reconciled, and audit-ready.

Finance runs on Sage Intacct. The numbers have to be beyond question.

For organizations that run on Sage Intacct, the platform is the financial system of record: general ledger, payables, receivables, multi-entity consolidation, and the reporting that leadership and auditors rely on. When it is well governed, closes are clean, reports reconcile, and audits are uneventful. When it is not, the consequences are direct: closes that drag, numbers that do not reconcile, and a finance team that keeps its real books in spreadsheets because the system cannot be trusted.

The pattern is familiar. Sage Intacct was configured for the organization it was then, dimensions and chart of accounts evolved incrementally, and integrations were built point-to-point and never documented. Nobody owns the configuration. Month-end has become a heroic effort. And every change feels risky because nobody knows what will break. The platform works — but the organization has lost confidence in it.

There is a second, quieter cost. When the financial platform cannot be trusted, every stakeholder builds its own workaround: finance keeps its own close files, operations keeps its own numbers, leadership gets reports that require a caveat. The organization pays for one system of record and operates on several. Decisions slow down, and audit preparation becomes a project instead of a routine.

HarjTech helps enterprise organizations bring Sage Intacct under control: financial platform assessment, data cleanup and reconciliation, integration with the Microsoft stack and other systems, reporting that reconciles, and governance that keeps the platform audit-ready. The goal is a financial platform the CFO trusts — and a prime partner accountable for keeping it that way.

Why HarjTech instead of Sage's own services or a Big Four firm?

You get the same operating model — prime accountability, senior-led delivery, fixed-scope proposals — without the Big Four rate card or the vendor's incentive to sell more of their own product. HarjTech is platform-agnostic in its advice: if the right answer is a simpler configuration, a governance fix, or retiring a workflow rather than adding one, that is what we will recommend.

Engagements are led at the principal level, and the people in your scoping call are the people who do the work.

Prime accountability means one firm owns the outcome. You have one point of contact, one plan, and one firm answerable for the result — no finger-pointing between vendors. If something goes wrong, HarjTech fixes it; we do not hand you a ticket number and a different vendor's phone number. That accountability is the difference between a provider and a partner, and it is why clients stay after the first engagement.

Our month-end close takes too long. Can you help?

Yes. Slow closes usually trace back to data quality, reconciliation gaps, and manual workarounds — not to the platform itself. The assessment identifies where the close breaks down: which reconciliations fail, which data needs manual correction, and which workflows are manual that should be automated.

Cleanup and governance then target the root causes, so the close gets faster and stays faster — instead of depending on heroic effort every month.

Value is verified, not asserted. Usage reviews produce a documented baseline, and recommendations show the reasoning and the expected effect. After implementation, we review whether the savings or improvements materialized — and if they did not, we say so and adjust. That measurement discipline is what turns a one-time cleanup into lasting value.

Who does the work — your team or subcontractors?

Engagements are led by HarjTech's principal consultant, and delivery is performed by senior consultants working under HarjTech's accountability. Where specialist capacity is needed, we bring in vetted specialists — but HarjTech remains the prime: one firm owns the outcome, end to end.

The people in your scoping call are the people who do the work. No bait-and-switch staffing, and no layers of account management between you and the people solving the problem.

Senior consultants do the work under HarjTech's accountability. Where specialist capacity is needed, specialists are vetted, briefed, and managed by HarjTech — you never manage a bench of subcontractors yourself. Escalation goes to the principal consultant, and regular check-ins keep you informed on progress, risks, and decisions needed from your side.

Our finance team keeps its real numbers in spreadsheets. Can you change that?

Yes — that is one of the most common outcomes of this work. Spreadsheet shadow-systems exist because the platform cannot be trusted. Once data is cleaned, reconciliations work, and reporting is rebuilt on governed data, the spreadsheet stops being necessary.

The fix is governance, not training: people use the system when the system is trustworthy. When the platform numbers agree with finance's numbers, the spreadsheet dies on its own.

What happens on the scoping call?

A working session, not a sales pitch. We map your current Sage Intacct environment and the outcome you are buying, identify the fastest path to it, and give you a clear point of view on your situation — whether or not we work together.

You will leave with a sharper understanding of your own environment: what is actually broken, what is just noise, and what the first move should be. If there is a fit, a fixed-scope proposal follows within days. If there is not, we will tell you that too.

To get the most from the call, bring anyone who owns the platform day to day and anyone who signs off on budget. Come with your biggest frustration and your desired outcome — you do not need a formal requirements document. Within days of the call you will have a fixed-scope proposal with deliverables, timeline, and investment, so you can decide with real numbers in front of you.

How do you handle security and segregation of duties in Sage Intacct?

Security is assessed as part of every engagement: roles, permissions, segregation of duties, and API access. We remediate over-privileged access and segregation conflicts, enforce least-privilege principles, and document the access model so it survives audit.

HarjTech works under mutual NDA, and engagements in regulated environments follow the client's own security requirements. We do not take client data off-site, and findings are handled as confidential throughout.

Access is granted least-privilege and time-bound where possible, and revoked at engagement end. All work is logged, and you receive a record of what was accessed and changed. If your organization requires background checks, security clearances, or specific onboarding for vendors, we complete them before work begins — compliance with your requirements is part of the engagement, not an exception.

Do you do fixed-fee work, or only time-and-materials?

Both. Diagnostics and assessments are fixed-scope — you know the deliverables and timeline before we start. Larger programs are fixed-scope with phased deliverables, so budget never drifts silently. Ongoing support runs on a defined monthly arrangement.

Investment is confirmed on the scoping call, after we understand what you actually need. We do not publish prices, because the same engagement costs different amounts depending on environment size and complexity.

A fixed-scope proposal spells out deliverables, timeline, and investment before you commit. If the scope needs to change mid-engagement, we agree the change in writing first — no surprise invoices, no silent scope creep. Phased delivery means you can stop after any phase with a complete, usable deliverable and decide whether to continue.

Our chart of accounts and dimensions have grown out of control. What do you do?

Rationalize them. The assessment inventories the chart of accounts and dimensions: what is used, what is redundant, and what is confusing reporting. Redundant dimensions are retired, the structure is simplified, and the definitions behind each dimension are documented.

From there, change control means no new dimension or account goes live without an owner and a documented purpose — so the structure stays clean instead of growing back.

The work is sequenced by business impact: the fixes that unblock reporting, closes, or operations come first, and the deeper structural work follows. You will see progress in weeks, not quarters, and every phase ends with evidence — cleaner data, reconciled reports, and a measurable reduction in manual workarounds. Success is not declared by us; it is visible in the numbers your team uses every day.
