Do you offer fixed-scope engagements, ongoing advisory, or both?

Both, depending on what you need. A fixed-scope engagement works well when the outcome is well defined — for example, a CRM health review, an adoption improvement, a reporting rebuild, or a cleanup of forms, workflows, and security. The scope, deliverables, timeline, and assumptions are agreed in writing before work starts. An advisory arrangement works better when you need ongoing access to senior advice, regular reviews, and help prioritizing improvements over time. Many clients start with a fixed-scope review or improvement, then move to advisory support to keep momentum. On the scoping call we help you choose the model that matches your urgency, internal capacity, and budget process. Investment is confirmed on the scoping call once scope is clear. Book a scoping call and we will walk through your current setup, confirm priorities, and agree on a practical next step that fits your team and timeline.

How long does a Xero cleanup take?

It depends on how many months need attention, how many transactions are involved, and how many integrations are connected. A focused cleanup for a small business can often be completed in a matter of weeks. A longer catch-up spanning many months or a tangled multi-tool setup takes longer.

On the scoping call, we will give you a realistic timeline based on what we see. We also sequence the work so your team can keep invoicing and paying bills while we clean up, rather than freezing the books for a rebuild.

Timelines also depend on how quickly we can review your system and how available your team is for short check-ins. We will flag any dependencies early, such as access to another tool or input from your accountant, so the schedule stays realistic and you are not left guessing about progress.

Do you work with Azure, or only Microsoft 365?

Both. Azure work covers cloud foundations and landing zones, workload migration, and the Azure services that sit behind Power Platform and Power BI — Key Vault, API Management, Azure SQL, Logic Apps, Functions, and monitoring with Azure Monitor and Log Analytics.

The same governance discipline applies: Azure environments get the same treatment as M365 — architecture, security, cost control, and an operating model that keeps them healthy.

The second angle is why Azure and M365 have to be governed together. In most organizations they are treated as separate worlds — M365 run by the collaboration team, Azure by infrastructure — with separate access models, separate cost controls, and separate governance. But the workloads do not respect that boundary. Power Platform connects to Azure services. Power BI reads from Azure SQL. Logic Apps and Functions carry business processes across both. Governing one side while ignoring the other leaves the integrations — where the real exposure and cost sit — ungoverned.

Consider a concrete scenario: a Power Automate flow that calls an Azure Function, which reads from Azure SQL, using credentials stored in a personal connection. The M365 side looks governed; the Azure side has no Key Vault, no managed identity, and no audit trail. The fix is a single governance view: identity, secrets, cost, and monitoring across both platforms.

Expect Azure engagements to cover architecture, security, cost, and operations with the same discipline as M365 work. What happens next: the scoping call maps which Azure services your workloads actually touch, and the engagement is scoped to the architecture, the migration, or the governance gap that matters most.

Can you set up Copilot governance — labels, DLP, admin controls — as part of the deployment?

Yes — and this is where most Copilot pilots actually fail. We configure sensitivity labels, DLP, retention, and Copilot admin controls as part of the deployment, so governance is baked in from day one rather than retrofitted after an incident.

The governance model includes ownership, acceptable use, and an operating rhythm for review. Book a scoping call to design your Copilot governance model.

Consider a pilot that succeeds, expands quickly, and then raises questions no one can answer: who owns the labels, who reviews DLP alerts, what is acceptable use. Expect governance configured during deployment — labels, DLP, retention, admin controls — plus an ownership model and a review rhythm, so expansion does not outrun the controls that keep it safe.

Can you help us prepare Microsoft 365 for Copilot?

Yes — and this is one of the most common reasons enterprise clients come to us. Copilot surfaces exactly what your permissions allow, so preparation means permissions remediation, sensitivity labelling, DLP enforcement, and a governed pilot. We assess readiness first, remediate the exposure before deployment, and run a pilot with defined use cases and success criteria.

Deploying Copilot on an unprepared tenant is how pilots stall in security review. Book a scoping call for a Copilot readiness assessment of your tenant.

Consider a pilot group whose Copilot results surface documents from a project they were never part of — that is a permissions problem, not a Copilot problem, and it is exactly what readiness work prevents. Preparation covers who can reach what, which content carries sensitivity labels, and how data loss prevention applies to AI-generated output. Expect a readiness finding that names the specific remediations to complete before deployment, and a pilot scoped to use cases your team can evaluate. Book a scoping call to start that readiness work.

Why HarjTech instead of a Big Four firm for Exchange work?

You get the same operating model — prime accountability, senior-led delivery, fixed-scope proposals — without the Big Four rate card or the junior-staff lottery. Every engagement is led at the principal level, and the people in your scoping call are the people who do the work.

We are deliberately focused on the Microsoft stack. Book a scoping call and judge the difference yourself.

Consider an organization that needs senior messaging judgment — mail flow, hybrid, retention, and Defender tuning — without staffing a multi-month program. Expect principal-led delivery where the person who scopes the work stays accountable for it, and recommendations sized to the estate you actually run rather than a template built for a much larger firm.

Expect the call to end with a recommended next step and a clear sense of what it would involve.

What is Power Apps, and how does it fit enterprise use?

Power Apps is Microsoft's low-code platform for building business applications that run on desktop, tablet, and mobile. Canvas apps give you pixel-level control over the user experience, while model-driven apps generate consistent forms, views, and business process flows from your data model in Dataverse. Both share the same connectors, security model, and governance controls as the rest of the Microsoft Power Platform.

For enterprise use, the value is speed with control. Teams can replace spreadsheets, paper forms, email approvals, and ageing departmental tools with governed applications that enforce validation, audit history, and role-based access. HarjTech helps you decide where Power Apps belongs, design the data model correctly from the start, and build apps that IT can support long after launch. On a scoping call, we map one or two candidate apps to your data, security, and integration needs and agree on a practical first build.

Who does the work, and do you offer fixed-scope or time-and-materials delivery?

Your work is delivered by a senior Microsoft-focused team, with HarjTech accountable for design, build, testing, and handover. We do not hand your project to junior staff to learn on your environment. Where a specialist skill is needed, such as a complex integration, it is scoped explicitly and managed within the same engagement.

Engagement model depends on how well defined the requirements are. When scope, data, and integrations are clear, we prefer fixed-scope delivery with agreed milestones and acceptance criteria. When requirements are still evolving, a time-and-materials approach with regular reviews and a clear backlog is more appropriate. Timelines vary with complexity, but a focused first app with clear data and one or two integrations is typically delivered in weeks, not quarters. We confirm scope, model, and timeline on the scoping call.

How long does a Sage Intacct engagement take?

Assessments run two to three weeks. Data cleanup and governance programs run four to eight weeks depending on environment size. Integration projects are scoped by the systems involved. Ongoing support is a monthly arrangement.

Every proposal states the timeline explicitly before you commit — and engagements are phased, so you can stop after any phase with a complete, usable deliverable. You are never locked into an open-ended program with no exit points.

Timelines depend on environment size, data quality, and how quickly your team can provide access and decisions. We confirm the timeline in the proposal and keep it honest: if something slips, you hear about it early with options, not late with excuses. Client-side delays — access, approvals, data — are the most common cause of slippage, and we flag them in week one so they can be planned around.

Can you connect our trucking software to accounting and email?

Yes. HarjTech connects Rose Rocket or TruckingOffice to the tools you already use, including email, accounting software, document storage, and customer communication tools. The aim is for a completed load to move cleanly into invoicing, with the right customer, rate, and supporting documents attached.

We test each connection, check that orders and invoices carry complete details, and fix common problems such as missing documents, invoices that do not match the load, or records that stop syncing. If a connection needs the vendor or another provider, we coordinate that conversation and keep you updated until the flow works as expected.

HarjTech documents what was checked and what was changed, so your dispatcher and office staff know how the software is set up and what to do when a new issue appears. This documentation keeps the setup consistent even when staff change.
