Power App Build Pack
A production Power App, governed from day one.

One process. One working application. Weeks, not quarters.

This pack takes a single business process — an approval chain, an intake workflow, an operational tracker — and delivers it as a production Power App on Dataverse: designed around how your people work, integrated with your systems, tested with your users, and governed from launch.

You get a working application and the documentation and handover to keep it running — not a prototype that needs rebuilding.

The process that outgrew the spreadsheet

Every organization has processes that do not fit the software it owns. The approval chain that lives in email. The intake form that becomes a spreadsheet. The operational workflow held together by one employee's memory. The usual answers are bad ones: buy a platform you do not need, wait eighteen months for IT backlog, or let another shadow spreadsheet take root. The spreadsheet works, so it spreads — until it becomes the system of record: unaudited, unversioned, and one accidental sort away from disaster.

The Power App Build Pack exists for exactly this situation. One process, one application, built properly, on the platform you already own. Not a platform evaluation that takes quarters. Not a prototype that works for one team and cannot scale. A production application: versioned, documented, tested, and governed from the first day.

How the build works

Design comes before build. Process walkthroughs establish how the work actually runs — steps, exceptions, approvals, data sources — and the solution design covers the data model, screens, integrations, security, and governance. Stakeholders sign off on the design before configuration begins, so the build is executing an agreed plan rather than discovering requirements mid-flight.

The build itself is iterative, in short cycles with working software shown early. Your team tests as the application takes shape — no big-bang reveal at the end, no surprises at go-live. Power Automate flows handle approvals, notifications, and data synchronization. Integrations connect the app to SharePoint, Teams, SQL, or external systems through standard or custom connectors. User acceptance testing runs with your team, defects are resolved before launch, and handover includes documentation and knowledge transfer so your team can support what was built.

What you walk away with

A working production application, used by real people for real work — with a single source of truth in Dataverse instead of competing spreadsheets, manual work automated where it costs the most, and a governed, supportable solution your team can maintain and extend. The process that lived in email and spreadsheets now lives in a system with audit trails, access control, and an owner.

  • Solution design — process, data model, screens, integrations, and security, agreed before build. The design is the contract: it settles what the application will do, how data flows, who can see what, and how it fits your governance — before a line of configuration is built, so the build has no expensive surprises.
  • Application build — canvas or model-driven app on Dataverse, built to production standards. The choice between canvas and model-driven is made on the process's needs — user experience, data complexity, and maintainability — and the app is built versioned and documented, not as a one-off.
  • Automation — Power Automate flows for approvals, notifications, and data sync. Approvals route to the right people with the right context, notifications keep the process moving without chasing, and data stays synchronized across systems instead of being re-keyed.
  • Testing and UAT — test scripts and user acceptance testing with your team. Testing covers the happy path and the exceptions — because exceptions are where real processes live — and defects are resolved before go-live, not discovered by users after it.
  • Documentation and handover — solution docs, admin guide, and knowledge transfer. Your team gets the documentation to support, extend, and explain the application — and the knowledge transfer sessions to actually use it, so the app does not depend on the people who built it.
  • Governance setup — environment, DLP alignment, ALM, and ownership. The application enters your governed estate with an environment strategy, data-loss-prevention alignment, application lifecycle management, and a named owner — not your shadow IT.
